I was planning on taking some outfit pics yesterday, but in a sudden change of events...my camera was stolen!  My lovely Canon, Charlotte (haha, I never fail to name everything).  Anyway, fortune smiled on me and I have her back again!  I am so lucky.

Somewhere, anywhere

For some reason I have this delusional thought that it is nearly spring, and i'll be able to do a ton of outfit posts from outside!  Boy, am I wrong. It's as cold here as ever.  

I guess i'm going to have to just suck it up and take some boring ones in my basement, eh? 

Anyway, my friend just got these for me from her trip to Hawai'i.  They're so cute, so I thought i'd share!  I'm a sucker for anything with my name on it...

New things!

A lovely monogrammed teacup and cloth napkin from Anthropologie.

Also, I got these new shoes that I absolutely love!  They're so comfortable.

Never play leapfrog with a unicorn

Sorry for the lack of posts! I've been out of town, in Seattle, for the weekend.

It's pouring rain here (what's new?) but at home we still have a ton of snow, in some places the piles reach about seven or eight feet high! They even had to call in the National Guard to come and help remove feet of snow that was on the roofs of buildings, many of which have collapsed from the weight of the snow. One day, I even heard the National Guard flying around over our house to check out potential flooding areas. Exciting? Sort of!

Say it fast...often in color.

Here's some of the thrifted things that I've been meaning to post...ok, it's just the skirts...
but that's better than nothing! ;-)

This skirt ($4.99) was very long and matronly, but I love the buttons, which have a little silver knight and a crest on them, so I snatched it up! Now that it's shortened, it's parfait.

This skirt ($3.99) fit me perfectly, but I hate the gold 80's style buttons (which you can't see here)
so I went out and bought a set like this:

Maybe these buttons will help me overcome my obsession with everything nautical? Doubt it. :P

I wish you out of the woods

I sorely miss the rain. :) Luckily, I've got plenty of pictures I took in the spring to keep me company.
We've got over waist-deep snow here, and it continues to fall!  Once again, I've not had time to take pics of my new thrifted things...hopefully i'll have time tomorrow. :/
