I keep getting so confused with this weather, as
you can see exemplified by this outfit.
One minute it's warm..the next it's cold and rainy!
Thus, I'm holding a blazer yet am wearing sandals.
Help!
Dress - Papaya
Necklace/watch - UO
Jacket - Nordstrom Rack
I love this dress, but it's a bit short for my taste.
I'm thinking of buying a vintage slip and sewing it inside..
Any other ideas?
Apparently I'm having troubles making up my mind on all sorts of things today. ;)

Lovely, as always! That watch-necklace is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI love transitional weather because I can pull out the very best things from spring, summer, and fall and mix them all together! By the time summer hits full on I've had to shut away some of my favorite things because they are too warm to wear!
ReplyDeleteI grew up in a very conservative environment that enforced "no knees showing," so now I feel really self-conscious wearing skirts that don't cover my knees. Mostly because, especially when the skirt is flared at all, there's nothing touching my legs and I feel like I must be showing my entire butt to everyone, even if I know I'm not. So I usually wear a pair of leggings cut off to a few inches above the skirt to add some private modesty and comfort without changing the look. Of course, if you WANT to change the look, the slip idea sounds fabulous.
ReplyDeleteBallet flats are good for winter or summer. I carry a mini umbrella everywhere I go, and subscribe to layered looks during this weird time of year. Easily-removeable accessories such as light hats, scarves, or even some leg-warmers (as eightees as they are) really help.
breathtaking dress! (:
ReplyDeletesoo cute!
the watch necklace is pretty! i have a few watch necklaces, they're vintage. :D
ReplyDeletethe dress looks good on you!

{no, it's not about birds}
hm, a slip sounds like a good idea. if i'm worried about a dress being too short and don't want anything to hang out, i swear a pair of short spandex bike shorts underneath.
ReplyDeletemaybe the dress is a little short but this model is also nicer when not too long I think, an it suits you!
ReplyDeletei love your necklace! ;D
ReplyDelete.a little princess.
Gorgeous necklace. I don't think the dress is TOO too short, but maybe a little vintage slip would help? You could just wear it underneath, rather than sew it in.
ReplyDeleteI've just discovered your blog and adore it. :)
Oh my, cuuuute dress. I wear slips with most of my skirts and dresses, so I'd definitely suggest trying one.
ReplyDeleteFickle weather can be a nuisance at times, but I agree with what Elizabeth said. It really does allow you to wear your favorite things regardless of the season, which is fine by me because I almost always want to layer something or wear a cardigan with everything :)
P.S. Thank you for the birthday wishes.
Hi from Glasgow! Gorgeous blog. I don't think the dress is too short - it's really cute on you. xx

Same here. but confusing thing is that previous years, here, where I live, in this time of the year it was like summer for a month almost. now its just rain all day, every day, and its cold! should be like 30 C, not 10.. but what can we do?
ReplyDeleteI like the second photo with watches so much :)
Love the dress. You look adorable.. and the necklace is also fab.
