The blogger lives!

It's been ages since I lasted posted, but for good reason.
Do you ever feel "bloggers guilt" after not posting as you regularly do? I had felt that a lot lately and decided that I needed to take a break and let that go. Blogging is supposed to be something fun - not a chore you must keep up on. Thus, I decided I would post whenever I wanted and not worry about some silly schedule. Our whole lives are scheduled down to the last minute (at least mine is) so why should this be? Blogging seems to fit seamlessly into some blogger's lives, but not mine.
Anyway, being a full time college student, having a part time job, belonging to three clubs (one of which I am vice president), and singing in two choirs has been taking up most of my time.
I also enjoy sleeping, so it's nice to fit that in once and a while, too. ;)

Anyway, there's my lame (but legitimate) excuses for why I have been gone and will explain the future irregularities of this blog.

That being said, my fall season has been wonderful so far. Every day I journal something that I loved about that day:

Living in an autumn dream.
Running around campus at night with mason jars, trying to fill them with "eye of newt" and "monkshood".

Driving nearly to Canada through the pouring rain and birch trees to take a train ride through the mountains. (Then, eating huckleberry pie at a roadside diner and getting so distracted by discussing lyrics that we took the wrong turn home) Lovely.

The feeling of my bed when I first wake up in the morning

Hearing the melancholy sound of church bells from my window on a perfectly rainy day.

15 other musings:

  1. I have bouts with "bloggers guilt" from time to time, too. It's best, as you stated, to let those feeling go and just have fun with it. One feels so much better about it all :)

It sounds like you've been having great fun whilst being busy! I love that you journal something you love about each day. A positive response to life's little joys and pleasures works wonders.

Lovely, lovely photos. The 4th one is my particular favorite. It exudes such quietness, such solitude. The wide range of color in the grasses is beautiful. Thank you for sharing these, Blair! :)

  2. Blair! This post is so lovely, and the journalling is a really good idea-I've neglected my journal since September,I'm afraid. Did you know that monkshood is crazy poisonous? And I thought it only grew in England. Anyway, Happy Autumn!♥

  13. I know EXACTLY how you feel. I quit fashion blogging about a year ago because I'd set all these expectations for myself, and I just couldn't live up to them while juggling school and extracurriculars (theater kid, anyone?).

Recently, though, my friends and I have started a blogger family fashion blog, and we've decided that we're just going to post what we want to post, when we want to post it, and take the stress out of blogging - because it shouldn't be stressful, it should be fun! :)

Don't feel guilty. Post when you can!
